SOB! World’s largest brewery seeks out cyber-protection from increasing attacks

Save Our Beer! The world’s largest beer maker – Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) - has been facing a growing number of cyberattacks, varying from being financially motivated hacks to attempts at upsetting operations.

According to a Reuters report, the cyberattacks have become so concerning that AbInBev, as well as other companies in the same industry, have had to seek out assistance from cybersecurity experts in Israel to help protect themselves, as well as open their own cybersecurity units in Israel.

Israel is a leader in cybersecurity and many of the world’s largest companies have opened centres there or acquired Israeli tech firms to defend themselves against hackers as the reliance on digital networks and cloud storage becomes more prevalent, Reuters reported.

AB InBev makes approximately 500 different brands including Corona, Stella Artois and Budweiser.
